I built this site to show examples of my scratch-built and code 3 road transport models. I have spent over 45 years building road vehicle models, with my main interest being the vehicles of the UK emergency services. I also have an interest in heavy haulage and fairground models.

As well as making models I also edit the National Association of Road Transport Modellers magazine. If you are interested in joining the Association, a membership form is on the NARTM page. You will need Adobe Reader to view the form.

Acomb Fire & Rescue Service 1/76th Scale OO Gauge

The Acomb Fire & Rescue Service scratch-built fire appliances are made from 20thou plasti-card. The fleet includes two working turntable ladders and a working Simon SS220 hydraulic platform. On some of these models white metal cabs have been used, these have come from a number of different manufacturers. The complete fleet of vehicles are housed in 6 scratch-built Fire Stations, each of these stations represents a different design period from the Edwardian to the present day.
